Here is a link to a video showing how to make a train whistle
(there is a downloadable pdf file there for the dimensions)
This link is to the original EZ Mitre video, and this one is for using a router cutter
Welcome to: Somerset Woodturners Club

( Les Thorne - of No Turning Back - demonstrating his way with boxes )
Our club exists to promote interest in woodturning in the Somerset area, as a hobby, a craft or occupation
At our monthly meetings you can:
Watch demonstrations by visiting professional turners and experts with allied skills
Experience hands-on nights where you can improve your skills and learn new techniques
Borrow from the club library of books and videos about turning and other skills
Take the opportunity to buy tools, books and supplies
But most of all,
meet and talk and join in with other local turners
and enjoy this creative and satisfying skill
We also:
Publish a regular member's magazine
Organise members visits to woodworking shows and other venues of interest
Arrange regular social activities
We meet at 7.30PM on the second Monday of each month at
Sedgemoor Auction Centre
(just off junction 24 of M5)
